Notes: A CSO and an Area Coordinator responded to a request for a welfare check on a student. After a few minutes the Area Coordinator let the CSO know they would no longer be needed and the CSO cleared from the call.

Notes: A CSO responded to a student’s request for medical assistance regarding an injury the student had received. The CSO provided first aid and provided the student with an escort to their on-campus residence then cleared from the call with the student’s assurance that they would be fine without any further medical intervention.

Notes: A CSO responded to a report of drug paraphernalia being found outside of the Child Care Center. The CSO documented the paraphernalia and removed the immediately dangerous objects.

Notes: Community Safety received a report from a student that their roommate continually smoked cannabis in their shared room. This report remains in progress at this time.

Notes: A CSO on patrol encountered damage to the paint and drywall on a section of a stairwell wall in ODB, a work order has been placed for repairs to the damages.

Location: Residence Hall

Notes: CSOs responded to a request for assistance at a residence hall. The CSOs met with a student who was experiencing a mental health crisis and had requested medical assistance. The student also had several friends in their company. Dispatch contacted American Medical Response for a medical transport and the student was transported to a nearby medical facility for further care.

Notes: While observing the Doyle Owl Scrum, the Community Safety director observed a student smoking something that appeared to be a cannabis joint. The accompanying odor of the smoke confirmed that the substance was most likely cannabis. The student confirmed that they were smoking cannabis and disposed of the remainder of the joint at the request of the director. The CSD then resumed their supervision of the event.

Notes: While observing the Doyle Owl Scrum, a Community Safety manager observed two individuals passing between them what appeared to be a lit cannabis joint, and the odor of the smoke indicated that it was most likely a cannabis product. The CSM approached the two and asked if they were smoking cannabis, which the two confirmed. The CSM then asked for their IDs but the two declined and began to walk away. The CSM followed the two until they walked off of campus.

Notes: The Community Safety director explored an unknown loud noise that occurred during the Doyle Owl Scrum. Upon investigating the surrounding area, it appeared that a laptop had been forcefully thrown out of a third floor window of ODB, almost hitting students below. The CSD directed a CSO and CS manager to check on the room that was the likely origin point of the computer. After receiving no response to three separate series of knocks, they received permission to key into the residence and found it to be unoccupied.

Notes: A CSO responded to a report of bias-motivated graffiti in a bathroom stall in the GCC. Upon arrival, the CSO encountered anti-Gaza graffiti. A work order was placed for the graffiti’s immediate removal, and the CSO put preventative measures in place to ensure that other community members would not be exposed to the graffiti. This report was forwarded to the Office for Institutional Diversity for follow up.

Notes: A CSO on patrol of Vollum encountered the odor of cannabis but was unable to not locate its source.

Description: Disorderly Conduct
Location: Psychology Building

Notes: A CSO on patrol heard raucous laughter and followed the sound until they observed that a group of approximately 10 students had climbed onto the roof of the Psychology building. The CSO requested that the students get off of the roof, which they did. Another CSO arrived to assist but neither CSO was able to obtain the names of any of the students. After all of the students had left the area, the CSOs gained entry to the roof and discovered multiple alcohol containers and evidence of cannabis use, along with personal belongings that had been left behind. The CSOs discarded of the alcohol and cannabis and remanded the personal items to be placed in lost and found.

Notes: A CSO responded to a request for medical assistance in a residence hall. The CSO met with a student who sustained a minor injury, and the CSO provided first aid to the student. The CSO left a pink emergency phone number resource card with the student and recommended the student call the Fonemed advice line should they have any further questions regarding the condition of their injury.
