The Quebsite is Fixed, Yay!

Dear readers,

I am pleased to announce that the Quest website is finally back up. After some troubleshooting when I was able to focus fully on the website during the break, it turns out that the issue regarding merging the indexes (or blogs) was a relatively easy but still somewhat tedious fix which took less than an hour to complete once I understood what the exact issue was. I also was able to move over the reedquest.org domain name automatically, thank God, and I didn’t even have to toy around with the nameservers or anything! Which means for you, dear reader, that you can find the new website at the old address! However, please note that the old links to articles are no longer active, meaning that old links to Quest articles will need to be updated, even though the domain remains the same.

Even though we’ve got a lot done, the website needs some work. We still need to make sure that the backlog of articles has all of the right names attached to the articles so that the authors can be credited. Unfortunately, we could not find any sort of automation to do this for us. We added all the author names into the index, so currently it’s just a factor of adding them. We plan to work on this through editing nights, but we ask that you be patient as there are 800-some-odd articles to fix. Additionally, we are working to make sure the articles have their categories added so that they show under the appropriate categories when you click them on the website. This will also take some time, but we have one writer on deck to help and, of course, myself and the Quediting team. Please reach out to us via email should you want to help out with this project, as we are taking any help we can get!

Much obliged,
