A Quest to Seek the Grail

By Rowan Horowitz

The Quest welcomes our sister publication, the Grail back to the land of the living. Spearheaded by Caroline Paden (‘25), the Grail is an on-campus creative writing magazine, which also covers visual art, photography, and anything else that doesn’t fit the Quest’s style.

Because the former signators of the Grail were seniors working on their theses, publication of the Grail came to a halt. Because she was in the right place at the right time, Paden was approached by a friend who asked her to pick up the slack and revive the Grail to its former glory. Paden is hoping that as a junior, she will have more time to dedicate to the Grail.

To start, the Grail will be taking it slow, trying to get the publication back on its feet. For a new crop of students, learning how to use brand new editing programs and how to run a professional social media channel for the first time can be a daunting task. But even so, according to Paden, all of the people on staff at the Grail and the slated contributors are extremely excited to get started again!

The Grail also has a website at reedthegrail.org which should be updated soon. It will feature a link to an interest form and a submission form for those interested in working with the Grail. There are many opportunities for students to get involved, and all of the collaborators are looking forward to a great start to the renewed publication!
