Angel Booking: A Lost Gem of Reed

In perfect honesty, live music is the only way I am going to make it out of college alive, and so it’s a good thing that Angel Booking is back after its two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Angel Booking is Reed’s only independent, student-run music booking group. The group books artists to perform on campus and organizes live music events that are free and open to Reedies only.

Angel Booking primarily books local Portland artists, but they have also worked with artists to extend their tours to include Reed. This year, Angel Booking shows will begin in early November with artists like Chainsaw Girl and sqip. Artists that have performed in the past include Frankie Cosmos and Spellling.
